The Mighty Turkey
This sports logo was created for Cheney and Company client St. Mary’s Episcopal School.
The all-girls school has an institution mascot of a turkey, which was first developed with humor and not meant to be taken too seriously. However the school needed a turkey character that could serve as a sports image with the tagline “fear the bird”. The art was developed for use in many sizes and in applications such as embroidery and silkscreen.
The image won a Silver Award of Excellence at the recent CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) District III awards.
